-------------------
System Requirements
-------------------
Pentium 500Mhz or better
At least 64Mb RAM
DirectX 8 or newer
Mouse (only in two player mode on one computer)
Internet connection (only for two player mode over the internet)

These requirements I got from some website, which had reviewed
Ragdoll Matrix. I don't think they've risen very much, but I'd
appreciate it if someone could test them and inform me of the
results.

-------------------
Distribution
-------------------
This game is freeware. That means you may distribute this game
if you don't take money or credit for it. If you paid for this
game, go get your money back. Please email me if you do distribute
this game in the internet (put a link or a download to your page)
as I'd like to know when someone does. You don't have to though
but I'd appreciate it.

-------------------
The Game
-------------------
Ragdoll Matrix: Reloaded is a sequel to a much liked game called
Ragdoll Matrix. The idea remains same, but now you have more
options and new graphics, better sounds, new music, multiplayer
in lan and over the internet, recording games and much more.
The objective of the game is to dodge bullets. You control a
guy, who has just discovered he can actually react so quickly
he can dodge bullets. Each hit disables your special powers
for a while. Damage is taken correspondent as to where you are
hit. As you advance in the game you get more abilities.

-------------------
Controls
-------------------
Esc: Quit
F12: Restart Game
P: Pause Game
Insert: Take Screenshot

-------
In Game
-------
Keyboard:
-Numpad 8: Up
-Numpad 2: Down
-Numpad 4: Left
-Numpad 6: Right

-Numpad 0: Defy Gravity
-Space: Stiff
-A: Move All
-S: Sticky Hands
-D: Sticky Legs

Mouse:
-Left mouse button: Move Head
-Right mouse button: Move legs
-Both mouse buttons: Move hands

-------------------
Damage Table
-------------------
Head: 3 damage/hit
Neck: 4 damage/hit
Torso: 2 damage/hit
Other(Limbs): 1 damage/hit

So you don't want to take hits on your head or neck. Understood?
Also, when you've been damaged, the power bar doesn't come up so fast.

-------------------
Abilities
-------------------
Defy Gravity:
The only ability you have at the start of the game. Probably
the most commonly used ability. Use this almost every time
you are going up.

Stiff:
The ability to halt your movement. This is important because
all the time it seems your limbs are trying to collect the
bullets. Also used pretty commonly.

Move All:
Normally you move the guy's head. With this ability you are
able to direct momentum to all parts of the body. combined
with the Stiff ability this can make the difference between
life and death.

Sticky Legs:
These abilities let you stick your legs to walls. Why is this
important? Let's just say it's nice to hang from the ceiling
looking down at all the bullets missing your head. Also when
not hanging from a wall you actually control the legs instead
of the head.

Sticky Hands:
Look above. Same thing except now with hands. You control the
hands when not at a wall. Now when you stick to a wall you
start controlling the legs. You might need to practice moving
with these stick-abilities. Once you learn how to use them
effectively you will do much better.

-------------------
Game Modes
-------------------
Normal Mode:
This is the most basic game mode. The bullets are aimed at
you and come from the right side of the screen. This mode is
used to unlock abilities and finally the custom game mode.

Crossfire Mode:
In this mode you are fired upon from both sides of the screen.
This is a much harder mode, since you've got so much less
space to work on and decicisions have to be made quicker.
This mode is used to unlock most of the internet two player
stuff. This needs to be unlocked by playing normal game mode
with the difficulty of easy.

Massive Fire Mode:
In this mode the bullets aren't directed at you. This makes it
easier. Though there are a lot more bullets flying past you.
Just try to make it in on piece. This mode is used to unlock
some general options, such as recording games and game themes.
This needs to be unlocked by playing normal game mode with the
difficulty of easy.

Two Player Mode:
One player controls the guy. The other shoots bullets with the
mouse. The mouse CANNOT be moved when the player is hit.
(This makes it a bit easier for the player controlling the guy)
Use right mouse button to throw bombs. (only with difficulties
hard and dodge this)

Practice Mode:
This mode is used to practice all the cool new moves and getting
used to controlling the guy. There's no bullets here.

-------------------
Difficulty
-------------------
Easy:
The easiest. Start with this after the Practice Mode.

Medium:
Harder than Easy, though not too hard. After aquiring the
Stiff-ability you might want to try this.

Hard:
This is for advanced players. Also got bombs at this level.
Don't even think about it before unlocking some abilities.

Dodge This:
The hardest there is. Dodge this with normal game mode to gain
the custom game mode.

-------------------
Options
-------------------
Game Recording:
You can set the quality of recording from the options. It requires
a fairly good computer to record with the best quality, but poor
quality recording doesn't take too much resources. And it really
isn't too poor to be honest.
You can watch your recordings in the movie theather. You can also
send your best games, which you have recorded to your friends so
they can watch them too!
If you have a recording, which you think is unique, you can send
it to my e-mail, and I might put it to my website, if I think it's
good enough. Remember to include your nickname, so you will be given
credit. Also tell me why you think the recording is unique.
You need to unlock game recording if you want to use it.
You can check my site for some records of good gameplay.

Preload:
You can set this to On if you have lots of memory. The game then
loads all graphics to memory at startup, so you'll save some time
on loading times in game, but it'll take much more memory this way.
Win some, lose some.

Controlling Method:
You can choose the way to control the ragdoll. There are two different
ways to do this. The original and preferred mode is to use the
keyboard, but it's now also possible to use the mouse with the keyboard.
Experiment with the two modes in Practice mode and pick the one you
prefer.

Limb Help:
Enabling this option makes your limbs move away from bullets
nearby. It's kind of like an "auto aim" in an fps. This makes
the game considerably easier. You can't have limb help on when playing
on the difficulty Dodge This.

-------------------
Game Screen
-------------------
Health:
See the health bar in the bottom left corner. It's game over when
this one's empty.

When Hit By A Bullet:
First of all you can see what part of the body the bullet hit.
This is indicated by a brief red color on the bodypart. Secondly
you cannot move very much after a hit. Everything gets blurry
y'know. Don't worry, it goes by in a while.

Power Bar:
Right below the health bar you can see a green bar. This indicates
the current power level. When you have power, you can defy gravity.
When you don't, well...then you drop. :) You'll get more of it, don't
worry. Though if you're damaged, it will rise slower.

Shots Left:
In Two Player Mode there is a number for the bullets that the
player is able to shoot at the moment. This number will increase
over time though it is not wise to wait for new bullets because
you get new bullets quicker when you have less bullets.

-------------------
Unlocking Things
-------------------
There are many things you can unlock in this game. There's a different
thing unlocked with every game mode and difficulty, so you can unlock
twelve things in total. (3 Game Modes * 4 Difficulties) You also gain more
speed as you advance in difficulties.

-------------------
Multiplayer Options
-------------------
General Info:
-The multiplayer features have been developed for LAN. I have also added
the possibility to play over the internet for those with good high speed
connections. If your opponent lives far away, it's not very enjoyable to
play with him due to lag. If you play in LAN, you won't have those problems.

Connection Type:
-LAN is the one you should use if you're playing in a Local Area Network.
This is the fastest type of connection and should be used whenever possible.
-TCP/IP is the most common one for internet play. If you're playing the
game in the internet you probably want to use this.
-UDP is a bit trickier. It's an alternative for TCP/IP. You should only use
this if your router is configured properly or you don't have a router.
If you don't know what a router is, stick with TCP/IP. UDP is faster than
TCP/IP though, so if it works, you should use it.

Lagfix:
Well, actually this isn't a lagfix. This only applies to the joiner. If
you increase this, you will get a smoother graphical experience, but the
things you see actually happen a bit earlier.

Package Delay:
This only applies to the hoster. This tells the game how often to
send information on player locations and such to the joiner. Increasing
this sends less packages, which is good, if you don't have a very good
connection (so increase this if you're playing in the internet)

Firewalls:
The game uses port 9873 for TCP/IP and port 9874 for UDP.

-------------------
Making the game
-------------------
-The game has been made with a grat program called Game Maker.
